Chiropractic is an Effective Non-invasive Pain management treatment and can Improve your quality of life.
Musculoskeletal problems - Pain Management
Chiropractic is a Healthcare profession that focuses on disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system, and the effects of these disorders on general health.
Chiropractors focus on the intimate relationship between the nervous system and spine. Accidents, falls, stress or overexertion can negatively impact your spine or other joints. These changes impact tissues, the nervous system and other areas of the body. Left unresolved, this can make you more susceptible to chronic problems.
Chiropractic adjustments is a very safe, specific, controlled force applied to a joint to restore proper function and mobility. It removes pressure from the nervous system. Chiropractic adjustments reduce pain, increase movement and improve performance.
In addition to adjustments, Chiropractors also provide soft-tissue therapies, lifestyle recommendations, fitness coaching and nutritional advice.
Phases of Chiropractic carePhase I (Relief care)
In this first phase of care, the main goal is to reduce your symptoms. Sometimes this will require daily visits, or two to three visits per week for a time.
Phase lI (Corrective care)
In the second phase of care, the main goal is to prevent a rapid recurrence of symptoms. It is necessary to continue receiving chiropractic care even though your symptoms are gone. During the correction / restorative phase of your care, you will receive chiropractic care one time per week for a few weeks. You also may begin doing exercises and stretches either at the centre or at home to help accelerate your healing.
Phase III (Wellness care)
Once your body has fully healed, routine chiropractic care can help ensure that your physical problems do not return, and keep your body in optimal condition. Just like continuing an exercise programme and eating well in order to sustain the benefits of exercise and proper diet, it is necessary to continue chiropractic care to ensure the health of your neuromusculoskeletal system.
